Pine Creek Overview
Copper, Uranium, Other Base and Precious Metals, Graphite
Thundelarra’s current exploration activity in the Northern Territory focuses on the Pine Creek region, situated approximately 240 kilometres south-east of Darwin.
The Pine Creek area offers excellent infrastructure service, being on the surfaced Stuart Highway that connects Darwin with Alice Springs in Central Australia and then further south to Adelaide in South Australia. An interstate rail line offering passenger and freight services also runs south from Darwin through Alice Springs and on to Adelaide. There is also a gas pipeline close by.
Thundelarra has two projects here, each 100%-owned: Allamber located about 25 kilometres north-east of Pine Creek, is the main project; and Copperfield, which is adjacent to the Pine Creek town site, is a secondary project.
Copper is the principal commodity target at each location, although Allamber is also prospective for other base and precious metals (zinc, lead, silver, gold, tin, tungsten) and for uranium. Graphite occurrences have also been identified at a number of locations at Allamber. Allamber hosts a small uranium JORC resource at the Cleo prospect.
