Thundelarra has full ownership or joint venture interests in approximately 15,000 km2 of exploration tenure concentrated in the north of Western Australia and the Northern Territory. Since its inception the Company has identified a number of significant nickel, base metal, platinum group element (PGE) and uranium occurrences. Many of these have developed into advanced prospects that remain the subject of ongoing evaluation and in the case of Copernicus a producing nickel mine.
Thundelarra’s key projects are identified on the plan below. There are three areas of primary focus where Thundelarra has significant contiguous land holdings each hosting a number of sub-projects, the East Kimberley in Western Australia and the Pine Creek Orogen and Ngalia Basin in the Northern Territory. These large holdings enable a comprehensive understanding of the regional geology to be developed which when coupled with systematic broad scale exploration has resulted in successful discovery.
