Uranium focused Exploration Company with a uranium tenement portfolio encompassing a total area in excess of 6,000 sq kms dominated in the Pine Creek and the Ngalia Basin uranium provinces. Both uranium provinces are located in the Northern Territory and significant exploration success has been achieved in the Pine Creek region where several new uranium occurrences were identified in 2009. In-particular, the Thunderball prospect where drilling has delivered a number of very high grade uranium intercepts including 11m @ 3.4% U3O8.
In addition to our Northern Territory interests, Thundelarra has a number of non-core assets. Including; Three highly prospective uranium projects in Western Australia and one in Queensland. Advanced base metals prospects in the East Kimberley where the Company’s joint venture partner, Panoramic Resources Limited, is spending three million dollars to earn a 61% interest. A 40% interest in the fully developed Copernicus Nickel Mine also in Joint Venture with Panoramic Resources. And an application to an Exploration Licence at the Doolgunna Project, where the neighbouring tenement holders Sandfire Resources NL, have successfully identified an exciting new Copper-Gold discovery.
The exploration focus in 2010 will continue to be heavily dominated at both the Pine Creek and Ngalia Basin uranium provinces. A healthy cash position in excess of $25 million will allow Thundelarra to embark on one of our most active years in 2010. |
